Stairlift FAQS
Are VPLs loud?
Nope! Most of the models we offer ensure a smooth, quiet, and stable lift.
Can porch lifts be installed indoor and outdoor?
Yes, porch lifts can be installed indoors or outdoors. We offer a variety of sizes and styles to accommodate both environments.
Are vertical platform lifts safe?
Yes! VPLs are safe and reliable. There are many safety features, such as an emergency stop button and a safety pan beneath the platform to keep the user safe.
How do I know if I should have a porch lift installed?
Our accessibility experts can help you determine if a porch lift is the best solution for you and your home by providing a free in-home safety assessment.
Will the stairlift still allow people to use stairs?
Stairlifts usually only take up about 24” of space on the staircase, depending on the make and model. When not in use, the seat, arm rests, and footrest can be folded up to about 14” wide, creating more space on the stairs. Stairlifts also come with a remote control that can be used to send the chair to the top or bottom of the stairs when not in use.
